Francisco Gimeno - BC Analyst Interesting interview with John Gray, a British philosopher, about a myriad of things, mostly focused on Britain but which can also been applied to other countries in the same actual quagmires (minus Brexit), all exposed from his westerner point of view. This is the second half of the interview (first part's link is in the podcast). We always promote the idea that realism is one of the main concepts we have to really understand and live. Using common sense and avoiding anything else. Tragic realism, the concept here used by Grey, goes beyond pure realism, it goes for the rational solution to human problems without considering that humans emotions and feelings are real too, personally, socially and in interactions which move people and communities, States, anything. Anyway, with tragic realism we try to objectively see how the world works, current issues, its possible consequences, solutions and even forecasts, plus what it means (in here for Great Britain) for many territories and spaces, and also the topic of the ways to understand freedom and the measures of control and balances which any healthy society needs.
